Instead of deforesting the Glasgow area to provide the requisite amount of paper for printing, I thought I\u2019d read and annotate it on-screen (<a href=\"http:\/\/sciencenordic.com\/paper-beats-computer-screens\">something I wouldn\u2019t recommend unless it\u2019s to save the environment<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Annoyingly, annotation is prevented on PDFs with security applied, so I had to find a way around it.<\/p>\n<p>Firstly note that if you Google it, there are several tools and methods for removing security from a PDF,\u00a0but they are a slow, frustrating hassle.\u00a0I wasted a lot of time on crazy methods involving re-printing the whole thing to virtual PDF printers, etc \u2013 trust me the method below is the only sane way to go about it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>So&#8230; how do I remove security from a PDF?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Open your PDF in Google Chrome<\/li>\n<li>Save the PDF from Google Chrome<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Tadaa.
